After some surprising and unexpected results this weekend, including today, tomorrow is the last day of October’s WC Qualification matches in Europe.
Luxembourg is definitelly the team that surprised the tipsters around the world in the past few days. As i wrote in my last post, Luxembourg is not the same team that used to be back in the days, where they served as a team for building up positive goal difference. The odds and the results showed us that in the past few days. They lost only 0:1 from Sweden at home and today they draw away against Belarus 1:1, despite playing with ten players from the 44th minute.
But not only Luxembourg, matches where more than 3.5 goals were expected finished with 2-3 goals, England - Malta 2:0, Israel - Liechtenstein 2:1 and of course Luxembourg - Sweden 0:1 and Belarus - Luxembourg 1:1. Only Portugal was up to the task, winning against Andora at home and Faroe Islands away with 6:0.
For tomorrow i have four matches that caught my attention:
1. Czech Rep. vs Azerbaijan
2. Germany vs N. Ireland
3. Slovenia vs England
4. Lithuania vs Malta
1. Czech Rep. Vs Azerbaijan
The Czech Republic is without a win after the first two rounds and are desperate to win the first three points in the group. Azerbaijan are surprsingly second in the group with 2 victories after 2 rounds, including their home win against Norway 1:0. The Czech's must win this one if they want to stay in the race for at least the second place in a group with Germany, Norway adn Northern Ireland.
TIP: Home win at 1.30 (William Hill)
2. Germany Vs N. Ireland
Germany is topping the table with 6 points as it was expected, while Northern Ireland seats third on the table with 4 points and both teams are without conceded goal. I expect easy win for Germany and to increase it's point balance to 9 points.
TIP: Home win and Over 2.5 goals combined at 1.50 (bwin) or Over 3.5 goals at 3.10 (unibet)
3. Slovenia Vs England
Slovenia won an important match against Slovakia at home in the battle for the second place and is without defeat after 2 matches. England had disappointing performance on Satarday against Malta at home, besides winning the match 2:0, and is on the top of the table with 6 points from 2 games. I expect England to extend their winning streak on 3 wins from 3 matches.
TIP: Away win at 1.70 (bet365)
4. Lithuania Vs Malta
Lithuania showed that they can be tough opponents, playing a draw against Slovenia at home and Scotland away. Malta lost their first 2 matches and sits at the bottom of the table as it was expected with negative goal difference 1:7.
TIP: Home win and Over 2.5 goals combined at 2.50 (bwin) or Over 3.5 goals at 4.35 (unibet)
